All students should already know:
– the arabic alphabet and how the letters appear in the beginning, middle, and at the end of any word
– the use of short vowel sounds (fatha/kisra/damma)
– the use of sukun
– the use of long vowel sounds (fatha-alif / kisra-yaa with sukun / damma – wow with sukun
– the use of long vwoel sounds with “standing fatha, standing kisra, standing wow”, and alif maqsura
– the use of tashdid (shaddah)
– the use of madd (maddah)
– the assimilation of letters (ghunnah) ….eg: nun sound, followed by wow / nun sound, followed by yaa

This is a 10month Course in Classic and Modern Standard Arabic with Ustaadth Isma’il Ahmed.

Each 90min session is divided into 3 parts
– Learning spoken communication, by building basic arabic vocabulary through reading short, fun stories.
– Learning the rules behind simple sentence structure, by practicing “dialogues” between students, using various everyday topics, words, and phrases
– There will be lots of written and oral drills, to build our use action words (verbs), and common arabic phrases of everyday use
